Wear your team colors to let everyone
know whose side you are on!!
We know dating can sometimes be tough and want to create an
environment where it is easy for you to approach someone you
are interested in. Here's how it works:
Men will pick a card
at random from a BLUE
deck of cards.
Women will pick a card at random from a
RED deck of cards
Your goal is to find the person of the
opposite sex who has the same card as you, but from a
different color deck.
For example, Jim picks a Blue
King of Hearts and Samantha picks a
Red King of Hearts. Larry picks a
Blue Ace of Spades and Jen
picks a Red Ace of Spades.
Jim and Samantha are a match as are Larry and Jen. But they need to find each other. As they search through the
crowd for their match, they will meet dozens of single
friendly people to stop and talk with. And the best part is
that you don't feel awkward about approaching someone since
you already have your opening line and the ice is broken. So
even if the person you approach is not your match for the
evening, who knows, maybe they could turn out to be your match
for life, or at least a new friend.
Whenever two people
match, they have to ask each other a question from our
suggested question list. Then both people are given a ticket to enter the prize drawing
which will be held at the end of the event. They both
get new cards and go back into the party to search for
additional matches.
NOW THE BIG
QUESTION:
Q: What happens if I match with
someone that I am not interested in? Wont that be awkward?
A: The objective of the event is to meet as many people as
you can and make new friends. The more people you match with,
the better your chances of winning a prize at the end of the
night. Therefore you should not feel awkward or obligated to
stay with the person you matched with because another
potential match and a chance to win a prize is waiting.
