How is Love is Blind speed dating different than our Online Speed Dating aka Virtual Speed Dating? Yes, you will be able to see people..... But at the very end of the event, after you have gotten to know them first without looks involved.
Just like our traditional virtual speed dating events, you will meet with members of the opposite sex for 4-7 minutes on average. However, cameras will remain OFF during your actual dates. This will give you an opportunity to focus on what the person has to say and their personality, rather than what they look like.
We will give you several ice breaker questions you have the option of using as well.
You will go on a series of 1 on 1 dates all with the camera off, making notes on who you would be interested in getting to know further. At the very end, once you have had all of your dates, we will ask everyone to turn their camera ON so you can see all the different people that you have been speaking with during the event. Cameras will be turned ON before you submit your selections on any interest. We will send you both mutual matches (you picked them and they picked you) as well as one way matches (they picked you but you did not pick them).
Note: Your camera MUST remain off during the entire event until the very end. All participants will be asked to turn on their cameras at the very end before submitting selections.
Note 1: You must be in the age group specified and we do reserve the right to check for proof of age. Anyone who misrepresents their age will be removed from the event and not be eligible for a refund or have the ability to register for future events. How it works- step by step
You will be meeting singles from the comfort of your home via your computer with Webcam or Smart Phone/Tablet (strong wifi connection required) from the NY Tri state area (NYC, Long Island, Westchster, Connecticut, NJ).
The event will take place in a Virtual Room using the Zoom program (just click the link provided upon prepayment and that's it!). The Coronavirus-COVID-19 can not get in the way of helping people to meet.
1) We will break participants into pairs of two, just like we do with traditional speed dating. You will get to speak to each dates for a specified amount of time (typically 4-7 minutes). After the specified number of minutes, the guys will rotate to the next date and the process continues. 2) Cameras will be kept off during your dates. After all dates are completed and we come back to the main room as a group, everyone will be asked to turn on their cameras before sumitting their selections
Just like with traditional speed dating, at the end of the event you will be able to let us know who you were interested in. We will send you both mutual matches (you picked them and they picked you) as well as one way matches (they picked you but you did not pick them).
You are given 20 minutes from the end of the event to let us know who you are interested in and will receive the results the same night (usually within one hour) or the next morning. You will not have to wait 24 hours or more to get your results.
How many potential dates will be there?
The minimum number of potential dates will be 5 and the maximum will be about 10. If for any reason there were less than 5 members of the opposite sex in attendance, you would get credit for a future Virtual event.
How do I find the Virtual Room?
After you purchase your ticket, you will get a confirmation appear on your screen along with the zoom link for you to use to log in.
