Speed Dating Long Island Format and Protocols for Safety

Event Format (slightly different from our pre-covid in person speed dating events)

(You must bring something to sit on to the event. If it rains, we will rescheudle the event).

Just like with regular speed dating, you will be paired up with participants of the opposite gender for a specified amount of time (e.g. 5 minutes).
At the end of the round, it is up to participants to take notes about the people that they met. You can either bring your own pen and paper to write on OR take notes on your phone. We will NOT be providing pens or paper at the event.
Guys will then rotate stations, bringing their chairs or whatever else they brought to sit on, with them to the next date.
Participants will be able to email the host after the event with the names of anyone they would be interested in keeping in touch with and match results will be sent the next day. We will provide both mutual matches and one way matches.

No Alcohol is permitted at the park and this rule will be enforced for our event.

SAFETY PROTOCOLS

We take safety very seriously and the following protocols are being implemented.

ENTRY

In order to enter the event, guests will be responsible for obtaining and displaying proof of one of the following:
- Full vaccination, which means 2 doses of either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or one dose of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine. These doses must be received at least 14 days prior to the day of the event.
- A negative test result from a PCR COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of the day of the event.
- A negative test result from a COVID-19 Antigen test taken within six (6) hours of the events scheduled start time (i.e. 12:00 p.m. for a 6:00 p.m. event).

FACE MASKS

Masks must be worn at all times except if you are eating or drinking at your seats. Both your nose and mouth must be covered.

Gaiters, bandanas and face coverings with an exhalation valve are not permitted.
EXCEPTION TO MASKS RULE: If both people on the date decide mutually that it is ok to lower or remove the mask, then they both may do so. However if one person wants to keep the mask on, then both should do so.

PHYSICAL DISTANCING

Attendance will be capped to allow for Physical Distancing.
Seating will be set up so that dating pods are implemented for social distancing.
We will limit capacity on the event to be able to spread people out as much as possible.

CLEANING & SAFETY PROTOCOLS

Guests are encouraged to wash their hands frequently.

Hand sanitizer will be available during the event.

OTHER

If you feel sick please do not come. When greeting others please do not shake hands. Please wash your hands before arriving. Non touch temperature check taken upon arrival.
